follow the Pickerington School District calendar and therefore will have
class on days the School District is closed.
* * We reserve the right to cancel
a class if less than 4 students are registered in that class.
Students will be asked to move to a different class.
If your child misses 6
dance classes, they will not be permitted to perform in the Recital.
Please pick your child up on time. If you find you will be late,
let the Instructor know.
Monthly tuition is due EVERY FOUR WEEKS;
every 5th week a Monthly payment is due.
Please write the Month you are
paying for on the memo line of your check.
If you're paying by credit/debit card, your payment will post on Sunday of the week your payment is due.
Deposit your payment
into the interior or exterior studio mail box. Or mail it to P.O. Box
Please include a late charge of
$5.00 if your tuition is paid 3 weeks late.
There will be a $20.00
charge for returned checks.
We offer a 5%
discount if the 9 monthly payments are paid in full, payment due in
August. Be advised that there is NO refund if your child quits
Pickerington Dance Academy.
Students that are disruptive in class will not be allowed to
participate and will be escorted to the waiting room.
If a student has been absent the teacher will work with them in class to
get them caught-up. If a parent requests a make-up class,
there will be a charge.
It will be your
responsibility to call the Studio a few hours before your child’s dance
class to see if the Studio is open. If the answering machine does
not say the “Studio Is Closed”, then there will be classes.
If you choose for your child not to attend, there will be no make-up
lesson or reduction to your monthly payment. If a class is
cancelled twice, one of those days will be rescheduled.
Costume & Recital Fee
Partial payments toward your child's
Costume can be made anytime, but are not required. The total amount due
for the costume is due by the 1st week in December. You will
receive an email in late November showing your costume amount due.
The Recital fee covers not charging tickets for you and your guests.
Dance Attire & Shoes & Hair
Leotard & Tights are required
for Ballet, Tap & Jazz classes. A ballet skirt may be worn
over-top for Ballet. Dance pants or dance shorts may be worn
for Tap & Jazz. Dance wear should be worn for Hip-Hop. No jeans, jeans shorts or dresses.
Or leotards with glitter on them.
For all Ballet classes, your child's hair must be pulled back into a bun
(if it is long enough). For all other classes, your
child's hair must be pulled back off her face into a ponytail, french-braid
or bun, etc.
Put your child’s name in their dance shoes.
Ages 3 - 9 require a patent-leather tap shoe. Grades 4th & above
require a Jazz/Tap Style Tap shoe.
Pink – split sole or full sole. NO polyester-lycra bedtime slippers.
jazz boots, not lace up.
jazz boots or Converse High-Top
sneakers for recital &
Barefoot – no shoes allowed.
Pirouette II half -sole
or ballet shoes.
White ‘Keds’ tennis shoes are required.
If your child is not
dressed appropriately they will not be allowed to participate and will
be marked absent.
